The MOVIGEAR®, which is an electronic drive mounted onto an energy efficient, permanent magnet gearmotor, can achieve total system efficiency of 90% or more, depending on operating conditions. Energy Efficiency was the primary goal when the MOVIGEAR® was designed. Its permanent magnet motor uses significantly less energy than traditional induction motors. Its helical gearbox is the most efficient in its class. Its self-powered, dynamic braking system replaces inefficient mechanical brake coils. Additional energy savings are gained by mounting the electronic drive to the motor and also by removing the cooling fan.
