The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) is a bureau under the Department of the Treasury. We develop regulations, analyze products, and ensure tax and trade compliance with the Federal Alcohol Administration Act and the Internal Revenue Code. We ensure that only qualified persons engage in the alcohol beverage industry. We are responsible for enforcing the laws regulating alcohol production, importation, wholesale businesses, labeling and advertising.
