Robert M. Angelo was appointed director of the Trade Investigations Division (TID) of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) in 2005. He started his career with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in 1991 as an inspector in the Boston Field Office. After six years in the field, he transferred to ATF’s Office of Training and Professional Development in Washington, D.C., where he developed and organized revenue-related training courses for ATF inspectors. Robert was promoted to area supervisor of the Richmond, Va. Field Office in June 2000 and remained there until coming to TTB in June 2004 as a program manager for TID. He was promoted to deputy director of TTB’s Trade Investigations Division in December 2004.
