Michael Webster started at the TTB (at the time ATF) in 2001 as a chemist in the Beverage Alcohol Laboratory. As a chemist, he analyzed samples for alcohol content, pesticides in wine, and other analytes in support of TTB programs such as Pre-Market Import, Consumer Complaints, and Investigations. In 2015, after approximately 13 years as an analytical chemist, Michael transitioned to Malt Beverage Labeling.
