Dave Huizen is a professor of occupational safety and health at Grand Valley State University. Prior to working in an academic setting, Dave worked as a practicing safety professional and industrial hygienist for 27 years. He has a master’s degree from the University of Michigan and is a certified industrial hygienist. He is the recipient of multiple grants from the MIOSHA and the Brewers Association to provide online occupational safety training modules for craft brewers. Dave’s research interests include innovations in safety training of workers and exposure to carbon dioxide in craft breweries.
