Rick Allen left the corporate world in 2005 to pursue making his favorite beer: Pilsner. After a year-and-a-half of experimentation, Rick started Heater Allen Brewing as a pilot to see if people would actually buy craft lager beers. The answer was a resounding "yes." Heater Allen Pils is currently rated as the #1 Pilsner in the world on RateBeer.com. Rick is active with the Oregon Brewers Guild and is also president of the McMinnville Education Foundation.
