Ann George has served as executive director of the Washington Hop Commission since 1987, and Hop Growers of America since 2007. Based in the Yakima Valley of Washington, she is responsible for oversight of the hop industry’s science, technical, statistical, market development, issue management, education, and outreach programs. She also chairs the International Hop Growers Convention Commission on Regulatory Harmonization, and coordinates domestic and international plant protection issues for U.S. hop growers.
